Role Summary:

As an IT Business Analyst with a focus on the construction industry and proficiency in Tableau or Power BI, you will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. You will work closely with both IT and business units to ensure technology solutions are perfectly aligned with project goals and business needs.

Core Responsibilities:

– Data Visualization and Reporting: Utilize Tableau or Power BI to create compelling, clear, and actionable dashboards and reports that track project metrics, identify trends, and forecast outcomes.

– Liaison Between IT and Business: Act as the key intermediary, translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring IT initiatives support business objectives.

– Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Lead the process of identifying, documenting, and analyzing business needs, with a focus on leveraging data to drive improvements in construction projects.

– Process Optimization: Recommend and implement IT solutions that enhance business processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency, leveraging insights gained from data visualization tools.

– Project Management: Oversee IT projects from start to finish, ensuring they align with business strategies, are delivered on time, and within budget.

– Stakeholder Communication: Develop and present reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis and visualization.

– Vendor and Software Management: Collaborate with external vendors and manage the selection and implementation of software, ensuring compatibility with data analytics and reporting tools.

– Regulatory and Best Practice Compliance: Ensure all IT solutions and data handling practices comply with industry standards and regulations.

Candidate Profile:

– Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

– Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.

– Proficient in data visualization and reporting tools, specifically Tableau or Power BI.

– Strong understanding of construction processes and how technology can be used to optimize them.

– Experience with ERP systems, project management software, and construction management technologies.
