, this opportunity is for you. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the Building Operator will complete regularly scheduled preventative building maintenance tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that various buildings operate safely and efficiently.
The Building Operator will inspect work and services provided by any subcontractors or service providers. The position also requires compliance with Black & McDonald codes of conduct, health, safety and environmental policies and safe work practices along with any customer specific protocol.
Duties
and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform a rotation of HVAC maintenance and log readings Filter changing, belt changing and coil cleaning Perform daily regular duties, equipment adjustment, inspections and cleaning Other tasks as agreed upon by the client & Black & McDonald COMPETENCY

REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years’ experience in a technical occupation related to HVAC services and equipment Building Automation Controls experience considered an asset but not required 5th Class Power Engineer including Fireman’s Certificate considered an asset but not required SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER

able to work on ladder or scaffold at various heights

able to lift up to 30 kg (bending and lifting is required)

able to work in confined spaces, training available
