We are looking for an experienced Banking Subject Matter Expert and Data Analyst to join a financial services technology team in Mississauga. You will gather and analyze requirements, support Agile delivery, and translate complex data findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to uncover and document business and technical requirements
- Create detailed user stories and support end to end Agile project delivery
- Query Oracle databases and work with APIs using tools such as Postman and Swagger
- Perform statistical analysis using Python or R and build dashboards for non-technical audiences
- Present data insights using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and influence decision makers
- Work with platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Mural, and Figma to support project deliverables
- Manage projects involving integrated upstream and downstream systems across business lines
What You Bring
- 5 or more years of experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in banking
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and user story development
- Proficiency in SQL for Oracle database querying
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis and dashboard creation
- Ability to translate complex findings into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with APIs and integrated systems across multiple business lines
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Background in wealth management, portfolio management, or client reporting
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts
- Leadership experience influencing technical direction within a team
Work setup
- 6 to 12 month contract based in Mississauga, ON
- 4 days onsite per week, non-negotiable
- Mandatory background check required before onboarding
