2 Crows Brewing Co is looking to add an BREWERY PRODUCTION ASSISTANT to our team.
This entry level position is perfect for someone looking to get their start in the craft beverage industry and learn from a small team of industry professionals. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of canning lines and keg washers as well as cleaning, organizing and maintenance of the Brewery and its equipment as well as completing other tasks and duties as necessary.
Duties include:
Milling grain
Cellar work – beer transfers, yeast offs, dry hopping, gravity readings Tank CIPs
Cleaning kegs
Kegging beer
Canning line operation, including filling boxes, assembling and wrapping pallets, and some canning line operation (will train)
Assist lead brewer with wort production as required
Maintenance and cleaning as required
Comply with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Skills and Experience:
Full mobility and physical capability to safely and effectively work in a brewery environment
Work safely with cleaning chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations
Passionate about craft beer, and eager to learn
Strong attention to detail, and to cleanliness
Forklift certification is an asset, but we will train and certify the right candidate
Self-motivated, able to work and deliver results with little direct supervision
Detail oriented
Warehouse or production facility experience
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
A passion for beer, and a willingness to learn
Ability to work on your feet for an extended period, and lift up to 30kg over head repeatedly
Works well in a small integrated team
Experience with QA/QC work, lab work especially, is an asset
Hours:Full Time Position: 38-44 hours weekly
Compensation:$37000 – $40,0000 annually based on experience
