Breakfast Cook Required Jobs in Calgary at Reds Diner on 4th
We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Qualifications:
Food preparation experience including the use of a stove, oven, grill and dishwasher preferred
Excellent organizational skills to ensure that food is prepared at the correct temperature and according to standard recipes
Excellent communication skills that allow you to effectively communicate food items, preferences, and concerns to the rest of the kitchen staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and understand how the management style works in conjunction with another kitchen staff member
Flexibility to work various shifts depending on business needs
Calgary, AB work authorization preferred
Requirements:
Food handler certification preferred
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, able to stand for long periods of time, and able to repetitively do work on your feet for an extended period of time
Able to work in a kitchen environment (including temperatures ranging from -4 degrees Celsius), with exposure to various types of food products and cooking techniques, such as sautéing, baking, frying, seasoning, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
