Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with payroll processing. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Duties:
Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
Post journal entries
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
Prepare tax returns
Prepare trial balance of books
Reconcile accounts
Prepare income tax
Skills:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Knowledge of account reconciliation principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of payroll processing procedures
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements
