Job Title: DSD Retail Merchandiser
Job Summary
Support DSD Accounts delivery routes by maintaining appropriate stock levels, organization, service, and cleanliness of all Mama Lycha merchandise in customer retail locations.
Essential Job Functions
- Stock, front, and face merchandise daily on customer store shelves/in company merchandisers or racks/displays
- Maintain rotation of products and monitor expiration dates
- Ensure assigned stocking spaces are clean at all times
- Manage back stock (product located in customer warehouse in the back or on the top of the gondola/shelf) on a daily basis
- Must ensure accurate, timely and complete communications with managers, co-workers, customers and public in the promotion of excellent customer service
- Ensure merchandise is displayed with proper signage
- Provide any suggestions or ideas to supervisors in order to grow current sales accounts or improve relationships with store managers and/or assistants
- Maintain all merchandisers (free standing freezers or coolers), racks, or any other company equipment in good condition by providing a scheduled monthly cleaning
Educational and Skills Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of related professional and/or industry experience
- Must be able to independently travel to customer locations / drive own vehicle during company hours
- Maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Must show proof of valid insurance – minimum of $100K (individual bodily injury) / $300K (group bodily injury) / $100K (physical property) is required
- Bilingual: English / Spanish
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong organizational & customer service skills
- Positive Attitude
- Must able to independently travel to customer locations
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work is performed in a retail and warehouse setting with a normal noise level. This job frequently requires the employee to drive; stand; walk; sit; use hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee should never attempt to lift more than 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.75 per hour
