This position will be responsible for providing the best customer service to any and all of our customers

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative will provide the best customer service to all existing and potential new customers all of their building materials supply needs. The perfect candidate should be able to work well under pressure, learn and adapt quickly, and maintain a can-do positive attitude.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Greet customers with a smile and a positive attitude

· Build customer rapport with internal and external customers

· Investigate and resolve customer complaints and/or customer service issues

· Gain and acquire product knowledge for product up/cross selling

· Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products

· Obtain and learn information on pricing specifications, uses, and availability

· Process customer orders and enter additional data into ERP system in a timely manner

· Operate and balance a daily cash drawer

· Communication with Dispatch and Operations about customer deliveries

· Answer inbound calls on a multi-line phone system

· Manage open orders and update customers on the status of orders

· Initiate return merchandise authorizations (RMA)

· Create new job packages for credit projects

· Follow up on outstanding customer service issues and/or material needs

· Participate in end of year inventory count

· Perform other job related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· 1 year of cash handling experience

· 1 year of phone customer service experience

· 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience

· 1 year experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Bilingual in English/Spanish

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
