Kennebec Behavioral Health, a leading provider of behavioral health services since 1960 and selected as a multi-year Best Place to Work in Maine winner, is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead and support our employee benefits programs. The Benefits Manager oversees the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of all employee benefits programs. This role provides leadership to benefits operations, supervises the Benefits Coordinator, and serves as the primary liaison with vendors, brokers, and internal teams. This position ensures benefits are delivered accurately, communicated clearly, and aligned with employee needs while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The position is in-office and in our Waterville Clinic.
Key responsibilities include:
· Benefits Administration & Leadership
· Managing Annual Open Enrollment
· Employee Education, Support & Communication
· Vendor & Plan Administrator Management
· Overseeing FLMA, Maine Medical Leave (upcoming Maine Paid Family Medical Leave)
· Overseeing Wellness & Retirement Programs Administration
· Benefit Program Evaluation and Improvement
Qualifications: Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in benefits administration, human resources or a related field preferably in a mid-sized or multi-site organization. Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.

Pay: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
