Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Benefits Administrator role based in St John’s, NL. The Benefits Administrator will manage day-to-day administration of employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while ensuring accurate and timely data entry in internal systems and with carriers. This role will support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of group benefits and retirement plans for corporate clients, respond to inquiries from employers and plan members, and help resolve coverage or claim issues. The Benefits Administrator will assist with compliance-related tasks, prepare reports, maintain documentation, and support the development of employee communications related to benefits and wellness programs. Collaboration with internal advisors, insurance carriers, and payroll or HR contacts at client organizations will be essential to deliver a high standard of service.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Benefits Administration, including day-to-day plan management and carrier coordination.
- Working knowledge of Employee Benefits and Insurance products, with the ability to explain coverage options clearly to clients and plan members.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and data-entry skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centered approach and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and benefits or HR information systems.
- Ability to work on-site in St John’s, NL, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Post-secondary education in business, human resources, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; industry certifications or progress toward them are considered an asset, such as the GBA, CEBS, or RPA.
