We are seeking a Skilled Bench Jeweler to join our team of talented artisans and bring our clients’ exquisite pieces to life.
Position Overview:
As a Bench Jeweler at Mountz Jewelers, you will play a critical role in the repair and finishing of fine jewelry. You’ll work with precious metals and gemstones, transforming designs into beautifully crafted pieces that reflect the elegance and excellence our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, solder, and repair high-end fine jewelry pieces
- Set round and fancy shaped diamonds and colored gemstones with precision (prong, bezel, pavé, channel, etc.)
- Perform polishing, rhodium plating, and finishing techniques
- Work with 14k gold, 18k gold, platinum, and other precious metals
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure aesthetic and structural integrity
- Inspect and assess jewelry for repairs, executing detailed and delicate workmanship
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bench/workspace
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a bench jeweler in a fine jewelry setting
- Expert proficiency in hand fabrication and gemstone setting techniques
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or CAD designs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Passion for craftsmanship and pride in producing heirloom-quality pieces
