Position Scope
NACG is looking for a Bench Hand to work in our maintenance facility in Acheson. You must be well‑organized and favor safety above everything else.
Where You’ll Be Working

- Schedule:
7 x 7, 11.5 hours, days only*
- Hourly Rate:
Between $ per hour (tiered rate system) - Overtime After 44 hours in a week or designated day off

What You’ll Be Doing
- Move tools, materials, parts, components and materials to and from work areas
- Fuel, greases/lubing and services heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance including but not limited to tire changes and oil filter changes
- Assist journeyman with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment
- Wash/clean and prepare heavy equipment
- Paint & sandblast equipment components
- Act as a spotter for heavy equipment
- Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area
- Teardown of equipment and components
- Undercarriage rebuilds
What Makes You The ONE
- Knowledge about maintenance, and a general knowledge of mechanical aspects or equivalent work experience.
- High school diploma
- Must have valid class 5 driver’s license
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Always demonstrate safety
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Basic computer literacy/skills.
- Experience around heavy equipment is an asset.
What’s Next

- Undergo and successfully pass the following pre‑employment testing

- Vision Screening
- Criminal Record Check
Once moved into onboarding, the following processes will occur:
- Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre‑employment testing
- An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
- After all results and paperwork are received by NACG, candidates will be contacted by us to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other location (site) specific details.
