Job Overview
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Bartender to join our team at Water Valley Saloon — your local spot for good food, cold drinks, and familiar faces.
Located in Water Valley, this role is perfect for someone with a positive attitude, strong people skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll help create a welcoming, small-town atmosphere while serving quality drinks and making guests feel right at home.
Please note: reliable transportation to and from Water Valley is required.
Previous bartending or restaurant experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately
- Provide friendly, attentive service to guests at the bar and throughout the restaurant
- Use our POS system (TOAST) to manage orders and payments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Upsell drinks, features, and specials
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service practices
- Assist with opening/closing duties and restocking
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable using POS systems (TOAST experience is an asset)
- Reliable transportation to Water Valley
