Barista – retail sales professional Jobs in Delta at Sweet Thea Bakery, Ltd.
Sweet Thea Bakery are looking for a strong service professional for our busy caffeinated bakery, inside the B.C. Ferries Terminal at Tsawwassen. This is a full-time position, with opportunity for advancement.
Successful candidate must have strong coffee experience, and be energetic and outgoing – during the summer this is the busiest coffee shop in B.C., and you have to be skilled at multi-tasking, coffee bar and customer management. This is often a very busy location, and customers tip generously. It is open 7 days a week, 6am-9pm; you will need to be available for weekend and closing shifts.
Please do not respond if your resume does not include verifiable barista experience – your resume will be automatically deleted. Barista is a skill position – serving coffee at fast food businesses like Tim Horton’s or McDonald’s does not qualify as barista experience.
We are not accepting overseas applicants. The commute to the BC Ferries terminal is unreliable by public transit, so you must be able to drive to work; unless you live in Tsawwassen. As this is a transportation hub, you must be a fluent English speaker, as you will be constantly interacting with the public.
We serve Parallel 49 coffee, and our popular baked goods – breakfast sandwiches, croissants, macaron, hand pies, scones and muffins . You will be required to make drinks and serve customers; do inventory and maintain cleanliness; and all the other typical functions of a retail food environment.
The benefits package is available after 6 months employment, and is 100% paid for by us.
