Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk and Baker to join our bakery team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of creating, preparing, and selling delicious baked goods while ensuring excellent customer service. Duties
- Assist in packaging baked goods and ensuring they are presented attractively for sale.
- Support food preparation tasks including cake decorating, pastry making, and general food handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Help with food production processes such as mixing, baking, and finishing baked items.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers by answering questions about baked goods and offering product recommendations.
- Support high-volume production needs during busy periods, ensuring timely availability of fresh products.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, knife skills, and kitchen hygiene to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or bakery environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of cake decorating, pastry techniques, or baking is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices within the food industry is beneficial.
- Experience working in catering or restaurant settings can be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable attitude are essential.
- Ability to handle high-volume production while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen safety procedures are important for success in this role.
