Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers, handle food preparation, and maintain the bakery’s cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections
- Prepare baked goods, including cake decorating and packaging products for sale or takeout
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area following food safety guidelines
- Restock shelves with baked goods and ingredients as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation and baking tasks
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation activities such as mixing, assembling, or decorating baked items
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and making recommendations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of cake decorating, baking, and food safety practices is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food products safely and follow proper hygiene standards
- Basic kitchen experience including food preparation and packaging skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred
Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
