The Bread and Butter of the Position:

If you are a night owl, organized, detail-oriented and love bread, our Evening Team Member position could be just what you are looking for in your next job. Our Evening Team Members perform a wide range of duties that involve the production and packaging of all Portofino Bakery products!

Reporting to the Production Night Supervisor, our Night Production Team Members are responsible for:

Following all Portofino policies
Perform a wide range of duties to ensure the correct production and packaging of all Portofino products. This could include but is not limited to: set up, mixing, production and packaging line monitoring, proofing, baking, cooling, packaging and cleaning
Following the specified production and packaging lists for each day
Reporting to the immediate supervisor or lead any questions or concerns regarding product quality, equipment operation or safety concerns
Reporting any errors or damages
Following written recipes in metric units
Operation of all production and packaging line equipment as necessary.
Ensuring all products meet quality standards

· Preparing all products for packaging as per company policy

Ensure all products are sliced, packaged, labelled and dated accurately in accordance with company policies, compliance requirements and product specifications
Ensuring the work area is properly stocked with the correct raw materials and packaging materials and that management is aware of any low or out of stock products
Putting away all loose packaging supplies and tools
Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, tools and, workspaces
Ensuring that all required documentation is completely accurately and in real time
Ensuring all equipment is turned off, locked out, and stored correctly for the next day
Ensuring to follow and record on cleaning and sanitation checklists
Keeping product rotated and following FIFO standards (First in First out)
Maintain a safe work environment
Other duties as assigned

Shifts and availability:

8-hour shifts.
Shifts scheduled between 8:00 pm-8:00am
This is a full-time permanent position.

Strong verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently, as well as in a group
The ability to work on your feet for extended periods
The ability to work in a clean, organized manner
The ability to lift up to 50lbs
A commitment to upholding company policies, compliance and quality standards
A commitment to punctuality and reliability, reporting to work on time as scheduled
A willingness to learn and grow
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is considered an asset
Previous experience with HACCP is considered an asset

$21.00/per hour + $4.00 night premium.
