We are currently seeking a skilled Baker who possesses the potential to advance into the role of Bakery Assistant Manager. Supported by our senior leadership team, this individual will be empowered to immediately oversee and guide staff in various aspects of production, including planning, batch preparation, proofing, baking, and facility management.

Initially, this role will entail approximately 85% production tasks and 15% administrative duties, with Care Bakery operating on 10-hour shifts. Over time, the position will transition to a schedule of five 8-hour days, totaling approximately 40 hours per week.

Position Requirements:

Completion of technical training/certification as a baker.
Profound technical expertise in yeast breads, capable of anticipating and resolving production challenges related to ingredients and processes.
Experience with industrial batch processing utilizing rack ovens and associated equipment.
Ability to maintain smooth and uninterrupted facility operations through effective planned and unplanned maintenance.
Experience in managing teams ranging from 4 to 20 staff members.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Passion for collaborative teamwork and delivering exceptional outcomes.
Familiarity with GFSI food safety certification requirements.
Knowledge of baking equipment is advantageous.

Production Activities:

Foster a positive work environment conducive to exceptional team performance, staff development, and quality of work life.
Actively engage in production tasks as needed.
Proficiently operate equipment and perform core production activities such as scaling, depositing, proofing, baking, packaging, freezing, and logistics.
Ensure product quality and consistency.
Manage inventories and orders to sustain cost-effective production.
Collaborate with the Executive Baker to innovate and develop new products.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for process tracking and food safety certification.

Leadership Activities:

Collaborate with senior leadership to strategize and refine bakery processes.
Ensure compliance with all SQF regulatory and HACCP requirements for safety and cleanliness.
Monitor and manage production timing and efficiency.
Communicate company policies and enforce adherence to food safety and personnel safety protocols.
Support Care Bakery’s GFSI and SQF certification.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions such as bending, pushing, and pulling.
Exposure to noise, heat, and dust.
