Northern Avionics is a General Aviation Avionics shop located at Springbank Airport (CYBW) 10 minutes west of Calgary, Alberta. We focus on Avionics installations, testing, and repairs in GA fixed wing and Helicopters. Northern Avionics has been working at Springbank Airport since 2003. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30pm. We have a small team that work closely on large and small projects.
Job description
Responsibilities:
-Report to Avionics manager on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft.
-Maintain aircraft in accordance with company and Transport Canada Regulations and quality standards.
-Support the accurate completion of all paperwork in accordance with published procedures, manuals and documentation.
-Work closely with AME’s in performing installations of avionics equipment and systems on aircraft. Program, configure and test various products.
-Maintain the work area in a neat and tidy condition.
Required Skills, knowledge and qualifications:
-Graduate of an approved Transport Canada Avionics Technology course.
-Some aircraft experience/knowledge required.
-Mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely with basic hand tools.
-Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schimatic drawings.
-Only hiring candidates able to work and located in Canada at this time.
