Automotive Service Technician – St. Catharies Position Summary
John Bear Buick GMC is looking to add qualified Automotive Service Technicians/Diesel Technicians/Transmission Technicians at our busy St. Catharies dealership. In this important role, you will be responsible for repairing clients new and certified pre‑owned vehicles, collaborating closely with the service advisors/managers to determine automotive service needs, recommending maintenance, and other services to satisfy these needs. This role plays a critical part in guiding the client throughout the service process and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Salary
$60,000 – $120,000 + per year
Responsibilities
- Inspect motor vehicles in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Provide recommendations on work performed and future repair requirements
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 310S Mechanics License or equivalent is required
- Diesel or Transmission experience is a definite asset
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
- GM experience is an asset
