Job Title: Automotive Parts Counterperson
Location: Horne Dodge Chrysler Jeep Nissan – Globe, AZ
Compensation: $25.00 per hour + comprehensive benefits package
Schedule: Monday through Friday (No weekends!)
Horne Dodge Chrysler Jeep Nissan is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Parts Counterperson to join our growing team in Globe, AZ. In this role, you will be the backbone of our parts department, assisting retail customers, independent repair shops, and our internal service technicians. - Customer Service: Assist walk-in and phone customers in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct OEM parts.
- Technician Support: Efficiently fulfill parts requests for internal service technicians to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, log, and stock incoming inventory while maintaining a clean and organized parts room.
- Order Processing: Utilize electronic parts catalogs (EPC) and dealership management systems (DMS) to look up parts, create invoices, and process payments.
- Sourcing: Order out-of-stock parts from warehouses or secondary suppliers and follow up on backordered items.
- Compliance: Handle core returns, warranty parts tagging, and shipping/receiving paperwork according to dealership guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an automotive parts role; dealership parts experience is a major plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CDK dealership software and standard Windows-based applications is required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive components, systems, and repair basics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Physical Ability: Capability to stand for long periods and lift or move parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass a background check and drug screening. [1]
