The Role: Auto Parts Research & Listing (Inventory Technician)

Englewood, FL | Full-Time | Day Shift

Important clarification: This is NOT a warehouse stocking job, and it is NOT a “scan parts into locations” role.
This job is about automotive parts knowledge + computer work + accuracy.

You will:

  • Grab an automotive part
  • Identify what it is
  • Research fitment / interchange
  • Price it properly
  • Type a clean, accurate listing
  • Tag the part correctly

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities)Parts Research & Listing (Main Job)

  • Identify and inventory used automotive parts using company software
  • Research part numbers, interchange, and vehicle fitment
  • Price parts based on market demand and company guidelines
  • Write clear, accurate titles and short descriptions (typing matters)
  • Inspect parts and document damage, defects, or missing hardware
  • Print and apply tags/labels and keep inventoried parts organized

Team Support (As Needed)

  • Help keep the inventory area clean and organized
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks during busy times
  • Communicate clearly with management when priorities change

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Working knowledge of automotive parts and components

(engine, body, suspension, electrical, interior—OEM vs aftermarket, similar-looking parts, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail—you care about being right
  • Comfortable working on a computer and typing accurately
  • Able to stay focused doing detailed work for most of the day
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs (team help provided for heavier items)
  • Comfortable using a ladder when needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent full-time schedule

Employment Requirements

  • Willing to comply with random drug testing
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of screening

Bonus (Not Required, but a Plus)

  • Parts counter, inventory, or dealership experience
  • Experience with eBay or inventory/listing software
  • Familiarity with interchange/fitment research

  • This role involves detailed, repetitive work using a computer and physical parts. Are you comfortable doing focused, accuracy-based work for most of the day?
  • Please briefly explain how you would list a used alternator for a 2018 Honda Accord, including how you would research fitment and pricing.
  • This job requires typing accurate part listings throughout the day. Are you comfortable typing and working on a computer for most of your shift?
  • This role involves researching parts, typing listings, pricing, and tagging parts—not scanning items into locations. Does this type of work sound like something you would enjoy doing every day?
