Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Auto Body Prepper/Helper to join our automotive repair team. This role involves assisting with vehicle preparation, sanding, masking, and supporting the mechanics and body technicians in delivering high-quality repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts as needed
- Support mechanics and body technicians with various tasks related to automotive repair
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts and materials to facilitate repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations
Experience
- Automotive repair experiance is required
- Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable for understanding vehicle components and repair processes
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and automotive equipment is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills in auto body preparation
