We are seeking an Associate Merchant, Women’s Apparel to join our growing team. This role is responsible for delighting our expanding customer base by managing and growing a subset of the Women’s Apparel product assortment for the Canadian market. Our organization believes that everyone deserves access to high-quality products at truly affordable prices. We also recognize that the consumer marketplace is often overwhelming, with too many options and unclear quality, while customers frequently pay more for items that could be delivered at lower prices.

Our goal is to identify the best products available and connect the makers of these goods directly with the customers who value them. The organization has already proven its value proposition in apparel and accessories, particularly in women’s apparel, building a loyal and repeat customer base.

We aim to build on this momentum and continue scaling the Women’s Apparel category across both existing and new product classes. In this role, the merchant will be responsible for managing assortment, driving revenue and margins, and supporting the overall growth trajectory of select Women’s Apparel departments for the Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all end-to-end merchandising for a subset of Women’s Apparel, including building assortment, pricing, product launches, and overall performance.
  • Contribute to long-term planning by partnering with planning, site merchandising and marketing to grow a subset of the Women’s Apparel business
  • Support delivery of Revenue targets, Product rating, Return Rate
  • Partner with the Sourcing Team to align quality, costs, and vendor execution for Canada
  • Work closely with Product Development, Sourcing and US Merchants to develop and improve Women’s Apparel styles based on Customer Feedback from Ratings and Returns
  • Obsess about every aspect of our products (quality, price, etc.) to deliver a strong customer value proposition for Canadians
  • Analyze data to drive decision-making, including sales velocity, margin, return rate, conversion, SKU productivity etc.
  • Developing a systematic, data-powered action strategy to drive product quality and business improvements using insights from ratings, reviews, and return rates
  • Key Qualifications

  • Role is based in Toronto, with 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) in office requirement
  • 3-5 years of retail merchandising experience in apparel, preferably with luxury expertise
  • Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
  • Product obsessed with experience in leveraging data tools and external sources
  • Critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the “science” and “art” of retail merchandising)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
  • Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success
  • Preferred:

  • E-commerce experience and/or DTC experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.

    The salary range for this role is $85,000 CAD – $95,000 CAD. All applications are reviewed by real people — we do not use AI or automated screening tools in our recruitment process.
