About Our Client
Our client is a well established construction General Contractor, Design-Builder that works within the Greater Toronto Area. Looking to build on recent success and backed by strong reputation of quality construction, our client puts emphasis on the details in ICI construction projects.
Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS (including but not limited to):
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION
Obtain, review and track all project bids
Assist in contract and purchase order procurement
Review and process Subcontractor and Owner change orders
Review, prepare, submit and track RFIs, Submittals and other Architect/Owner supplemental information
Manage all project files, including but not limited to plans, permits, inspections, safety, contracts, change orders, insurance, billing, supplemental information
Memorialize and distribute all meeting minutes within 24hrs
Develop professional letters and memos as requested by Project Manager
Order office and jobsite supplies & equipment
Answer and direct phone calls; Assist visitors
PROJECT SAFETY
Establish and maintain safety files, not limited to the following, Subcontractors IIPP, Subcontractors and Internal weekly safety meetings, incident reports and related paperwork
Administer and control Subcontractors insurance; Oversee OCIP/CCIP enrollment
PROJECT TEAM & PARTNERSHIP
Develop and maintain good working relationships with development partners, architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, other project specialists and team members to achieve mutual goals;
Organize project-related tasks with key contributors to ensure adherence to project goal
Other duties as required from the Project Manager and department

The Successful Applicant
Must have at least 3-5 years of Canadian construction experience.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills in dealing with owner groups, trades and consultants.
Excels in a team environment but can also work independently
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong computer literacy and Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of construction and technology methods.

Competitive base salary $80,000 -95,000k per year plus package
