Bali Kiss is a Fair-Trade clothing and gift store located inside Cherry Lane Shopping Centre. Owned and Operated by a mother-daughter team, we have had a store in Penticton since 1989 and we are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager.
We are looking for someone who can work between 18-30 hours a week within the mall’s hours (The mall is open 9:30-5:30 Monday to Saturday and 11-5 Sunday).
Wage is determined by experience with re-evaluations at the 3-month mark.
Starting wage is between $18.00-$25.00.
Perfect position for a friendly, energetic person who wants to work in a fun environment with some amazing products and great customers.
The position requires strong organizational and communication skill along with the ability work collaboratively and alone.
Previous retail and cash handling experience an asset but not a requirement.
Duties:
– Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.
– Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or concerns.
– Train and develop new team members on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge
– Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering merchandise as needed
– Assist with visual merchandising to ensure an appealing and organized store layout
– Cash handling responsibilities, including opening, and closing registers
– Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets
– Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role an asset but not necessary.
– Knowledge of cash handling procedures also an asset but our till system is very easy to learn
– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues in a professional manner
– Proven ability to train and develop team members
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
