Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Support staff training and development to uphold food safety standards and excellent customer service.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring proper staffing levels, task delegation, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Assist with shift management duties such as scheduling, cash handling, and resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and implementing new menu items or procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment.
  • Strong supervisory skills with previous experience in staff training and team management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and inventory tracking.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Experience working in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and shift supervision.
