Position Summary
Rutgers seeks an Assistant Director (Confidential) for University Academic Affairs, reporting to the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success. This full‑time position (Grade 06) offers a salary range of $82,166 to $125,837 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
- Provides overall administrative management and supervision of daily operations for the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Success, supporting the SVP in advancing institutional priorities.
- Manages a wide range of responsibilities to ensure effective functioning of the office, including assisting the SVP with high‑level, confidential responsibilities related to enrollment management, student success, strategic planning, reporting, and data analysis.
- Coordinates cross‑functional enrollment management initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, and documentation to ensure alignment with university‑wide goals.
- Extracts, cleans, and synthesizes data from multiple university and external systems (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Helio Campus, Lightcast) to develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that inform executive decision‑making.
- Conducts preliminary analysis and benchmarking to support enrollment management planning and executive presentations; prepares executive‑level reports and briefing materials for senior leadership.
- Serves as an ex‑officio member of the Strategic Enrollment Management Council, comprising Cabinet and Executive Level officers of the University.
- Provides confidential support for the Council’s activities, including research, event management, and drafting reports.
- Manages high‑level executive operations for the SVP, including prioritization of communications, complex scheduling, and coordination of meetings, projects, and external partnerships.
Salary & Benefits
Min Salary: $82,166;
Mid Range: $104,002;
Max Salary: $125,837.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and working knowledge of administration, work organization, project management, communications, and/or report writing principles and practices.
- Five years of related experience working for senior‑level administrators with demonstrated executive‑level organizational and decision‑making skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and complete accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to interpret policy and agreements, and render recommendations to senior leadership regarding decisions in that context.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information for a Cabinet‑level officer.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Rutgers University policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
