Description Assistant Controller Recruitment Partners is on the search for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our client’s team in Lethbridge.
The successful candidate will oversee the full cycle accounting, internal controls, and ensure timely and accurate financial results are reported to the
senior leadership
team.
Your success will be defined by
your ability
to:
Prepare monthly and annual financial reporting and analysis in accordance with ASPE Prepare and oversee budget/forecast cycle and including variance analysis and recommendations Analyze business performance, provide trend analysis, and develop/improve corporate reporting Work with external consultants/auditors on financial issues, tax filings, and year end requirements, as well as review and preparation of all government reporting and indirect taxes Manage inventory and capital assets, oversee credit applications and other requests for information Oversee internal controls systems and improve processes Review and approval of AR/AP activities and cashflow management and forecasting Lead and mentor accounting team members Your strengths include: CPA designation 5+ years’ of professional experience and history of leading a team of accounting professionals Strong
change management
skills and prior accounting system implementation experience considered an asset Experience using Microsoft Business Central and ASPE reporting
