Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Duties
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions
- Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial data across various ledgers
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize accounting software such as Xero, and other platforms to maintain financial records
- Assist in maintaining internal controls and ensuring adherence to accounting policies
- Collaborate with auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation
- Help in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
- Oversee internal Lease portfolio
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably with experience as an Assistant Controller or similar position
- Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and account reconciliation techniques
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis methods
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience supporting audits or working with external accountants is a plus

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
