Duties
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading, leveling, and compaction of asphalt materials
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction zones, including traffic control and safety barriers
- Perform site preparation activities like utility locating and site clearing to facilitate paving work
- Load and unload materials using dump trucks or other heavy machinery to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain safety standards by following all safety protocols and wearing proper protective gear at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently and uphold quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or asphalt paving preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and practices
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of utility locating processes is a plus
- Valid driver’s license; experience with Caterpillar equipment is advantageous
- Willingness to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment for extended periods
