Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Artistic Floral Arranger / Farm Assistant to join our team for the summer.
This role combines basic plant design work, customer interaction, and general farm duties. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with plants but is also comfortable with hands-on physical tasks in a farm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create simple plant arrangements (e.g., potted plants and succulents)
- Assist customers with hands-on planting activities and basic guidance
- Support plant care and propagation tasks
- Perform general farm work, including: Vegetable planting and maintenance, field work, Moving boxes, supplies, and materials, General cleaning and organization
Skills & Qualifications
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to perform physical tasks (lifting, carrying, bending)
- Willing to do hands-on and sometimes repetitive work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Important Location Note
- This farm is located in a rural area
- Public transportation is NOT available to this location
- Applicants must have reliable transportation (car or arranged ride)
Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs Program)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be 15 to 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee status
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- International students or temporary visa holders are NOT eligible
