Comparative study of gender in global perspective, examining how capitalism, colonialism and imperialism have shaped social structures in economically dominant and marginalized societies. Analysis may examine issues of power, reproduction, production and the role of gender in maintaining or contesting global inequities within various institutions.

Requirements:
M.A. in sociology and completed sociology Ph.D. coursework or a more advanced training in sociology. Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of social structures and gender analysis in Comparative Analysis Perspectives in the form of previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or through publications in the field.
