We seek a dedicated first- or second-year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice for our transportation team. Under the mentorship of qualified technicians, you will engage in various maintenance tasks and inspections. This role promises practical experience while contributing to the safety of students and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preventative maintenance on buses and vehicles
• Execute provincial inspections and report findings
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Execute oil changes and routine servicing
• Keep the work environment clean and organized
Requirements:
• Registered as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice
• Previous diesel engine experience is an asset
• Valid Class 5 license;
Class 2 preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
• Commitment to following safety procedures
