Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs.
- Build and manage backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Technical Areas Within Scope Of This Position
- Java-based backend development and RESTful API design.
- Spring Boot microservices architecture.
- SQL databases (MySQL/Oracle) and NoSQL data storage.
- Third-party API integration and external service connectivity.
Must Have (Required Skills)
- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience in REST API development.
- Good knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL / Oracle).
- Understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Experience with Git or other version control tools.
Good To Have Skills
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
Experience And Skill Set Requirements
Proven experience as a backend developer with strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, REST API development, microservices architecture, and database management (SQL/NoSQL) in enterprise environments.
Engagement Requirements
- Onsite work required in Mississauga, Toronto, ON, Canada.
- Full-time position with Citi.
