Consultant
The Data Contractor supports audit engagement teams by executing data preparation, transformation, validation, and upload activities in Data.
The role is execution-focused and ticket-driven, operating within a centralized delivery model to ensure that audit teams receive accurate, complete, and timely datasets required for analytics procedures and reporting.
- Data Processing & Upload
- Transform client financial data (e.g., General Ledger, trial balance, chart of accounts) into required formats for Data
- Execute data upload workflows, ensuring completeness and integrity of datasets
- Apply standardized transformation logic and templates where applicable
- Data Quality, Validation & Reconciliation
- Perform data validation checks to identify completeness and accuracy issues
- Work with engagement teams to resolve discrepancies such as missing journals or inconsistencies in source data
- Support reconciliation processes prior to and following data uploads
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree educated preferably in Computer Science / related fields
- Data Processing & Tools
- Exposure to Databricks or similar data environments
- Basic knowledge of PySpark or Python for structured data transformation
- A strong working knowledge of Excel (SUM, COUNT, IF, VLOOKUP, ISERROR)
- Accounting / Audit Context
- Foundational understanding of financial data (General Ledger, Trial Balance, chart of accounts)
