. Plains Midstream has an

immediate opening

for an Advisor, Trucking Safety. This role is responsible for conducting observations and audits of commercial vehicles, providing transportation compliance advice, responding to emergencies and ensuring a safe workplace.

Responsibilities:

Performing regular inspections and audits of commercial vehicles, drivers and operators to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and standards.

Identifying and reporting any safety issues, risks or violations and recommending corrective actions or improvements.

Providing guidance and support to commercial vehicle operators and drivers on transportation safety matters, such as fatigue management, load restraint, vehicle maintenance, and training.

Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures and programs for the transportation sector and ensuring they are communicated and followed.

Responding to and managing any emergencies or incidents involving commercial vehicles, such as accidents, breakdowns, spills or fires.

Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as management, regulators, law enforcement, customers and suppliers, on transportation safety issues and initiatives.

Conducting and facilitating

safety training

and awareness sessions for commercial vehicle operators and drivers.

Keeping up to date with the latest trends, developments and best practices in transportation safety and compliance.

Skills and

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in transportation safety, compliance or auditing, preferably in the oil and gas sector.

Excellent knowledge of the applicable laws, regulations and standards for transportation safety and compliance, such as the National Safety Code (NSC), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.

Valid Class 1 driver’s license

Strong analytical,
