  • Provide Advanced Footcare in accordance with College and clinical standards
  • Perform treatments including nail and callus care, wart management, chronic and acute wound care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Provide foot health education to patients and local professionals
  • What You Bring
    Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted registration with your provincial or territorial nursing regulatory body
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Certification as an Advanced Footcare Nurse
  • Training and competency in diabetic foot assessments
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe, evidence-based footcare
  • Dedication to ongoing annual continuing education
  • Strong Assets

  • Training in diabetic wound care
  • Completion of a medical reprocessing course (e.g., PHO, CSA “Reprocessing Foot Care Devices,” IPAC Canada, CDMR, or equivalent)
  • Compliance & Standards
    You practice in accordance with:

  • CAFCN National Competencies for Advanced Nursing Foot Care in Canada
  • IPAC Canada guidelines, including point-of-use sterility for reprocessed instruments
  • Provincial/territorial nursing regulatory requirements
  • All relevant privacy and confidentiality legislation
