About Us
The Eastern Alberta Regional Victim Serving Societies (RVSS) provide a broad range of services under theVictims of Crime and Public Safety ActandRegulation,and in partnership with the Government of Alberta (GoA), the Alberta RCMP, specialized and community-based victim serving organizations, municipalities, and other local agencies.
The RVSS assist victims of crime throughout the criminal justice process by providing the core services of information, support, and referrals. The RVSS also support communities by providing resources and support to people undergoing loss and tragic circumstances.
Service delivery is responsive to the needs, concerns, and priorities of clients of the program.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Regional Operations (DRO), the Administrative Assistant – Summer Student is responsible for the data entry and transition of client files to a new electronic filing system. The role is dedicated to support the management team with a project based role for the contract term of the summer.
The summer student will support data entry, scanning of paper files, transfer of electronic data and support proper closure of records and record maintenance.
The summer student will also support set up of the new main office in St. Paul – this will include set up of chairs, coordinating deliveries, supporting trades with entry and communication/delegation from the management team.
Alternate administrative duties may be included as required to support the set up of operations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years administrative role or data entry.
Experience in executive support or office management is an asset.
Assets
· Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize job responsibilities and manage high volumes of information effectively, particularly as this role supports multiple team members.
· Familiarity with electronic databased such as electronic records management.
· Ability to enter information at a high speed ie: type speed
· Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be confident, clear, respectful, and sensitive.
· High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
· Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and records.
· Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
· Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook etc.) and videoconferencing platforms and willingness to learn other technology platforms for process improvements.

· Criminal record check for vulnerable sector is required
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10-16 weeks
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
