Support land management operations by providing administrative assistance. The role involves maintaining documents, coordinating training, and collaborating with departments for an efficient workflow.
As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll work under the supervision of the Lands Manager and perform a variety of tasks to support the Department of Lands. Responsibilities include preparing land application documents, managing databases, and implementing and maintaining filing systems using One Drive and SharePoint. You will ensure effective communication regarding Band member inquiries and contribute to meeting discussions, taking notes, and managing action items.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and update lands applications and assessments
• Maintain digital filing systems and databases
• Assist with meeting documentation and follow-ups
• Support health, safety, and benefits administration
• Coordinate training for WHMIS, CPR, and First Aid
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and email
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Anishnawbemowin language skills are beneficial
• Valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence preferred
