Our growing company is seeking a highly skilled, energetic, reliable, and experienced Accountant to join our team.

The Bookkeeper-Administrative Assistant will provide support to NSI’s management team working.

The ideal candidate must work well independently or as part of a team and able to work with people at all levels within the company as well as external customers. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information

Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes

Full cycle accounting duties including invoicing, contractor payroll and bookkeeping

Assisting with payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and remittances; and

Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of company

Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly)

Ensure timely processing of payroll

Other administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks;

Effective written and verbal communication skills;

Exceptional organizational and time management skills;

Understanding of Investment accounting bookkeeping (dealing with portfolios, handling dividends, capital gains and the corresponding T3 and T5 work) would be an asset

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships

Organizational skills for prioritizing demands and work flow

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

Must have a strong commitment to quality

Solid understanding of business professionalism

Able to successfully work in a team environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

3+ years of experience in related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks
