We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to assist with the smooth running of daily operations.
Responsibilities:
– Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner
– Provide administrative support such as filing, scanning, and data entry
– Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
– Prepare and edit documents, correspondence, and reports
– Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
– Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
– Complete bi-weekly payroll
– Perform other administrative duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will be proficient in using various software applications and have experience working in an office environment.
Skills:
– Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
– Previous experience with payroll
– Excellent customer support skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly
– Proficient in clerical tasks such as proofreading documents and managing files
– Knowledgeable in working in a unionized environment
– Familiarity with general office procedures including data entry, filing, and record keeping
– Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft
– Strong phone etiquette with the ability to handle calls professionally
QUALICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Grade 12
2. Office Administration Certificate
3. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in a professional office environment
4. Must be able to pass a criminal record check
5. Other qualifications as may be determined relevant to the work required
