Abani Home is a fast-growing home goods importer based in Montreal. We design and source rugs, lighting, pet beds, furniture, and décor from Turkey and bring them to North American customers through Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, and our own Shopify storefronts. We manage thousands of SKUs across multiple sales channels and run lean — every team member has real ownership over their work and visible impact on the business.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a sharp, organized Administrative Assistant who thrives in spreadsheets and wants to learn the e-commerce side of a real product business. You’ll be the operational backbone of the office: keeping our product catalog clean, supporting marketplace listings, handling day-to-day administrative tasks, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks across Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, and Shopify.
This isn’t a coffee-and-calendars admin role. You’ll work directly with the owner and a small team, you’ll be hands-on with product data, and you’ll see your work go live on listings that customers buy from every day.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build, format, and maintain product data spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets — SKUs, dimensions, pricing, attributes, inventory, costs, and shipping data.
- Prepare and upload product listings across Amazon Seller Central, Wayfair, Walmart Marketplace, and Shopify, ensuring titles, bullets, images, and variants are accurate.
- Clean and reconcile data: VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, deduping, formula-driven imports, and bulk updates across thousands of SKUs.
- Manage general administrative tasks: filing, document organization, vendor correspondence, scheduling, and office coordination.
- Support the owner and team with reports, order tracking, and follow-ups with vendors, freight forwarders, and marketplace support teams.
- Help maintain SOPs, checklists, and internal documentation so processes run consistently as the company grows.
- Flag inconsistencies, missing data, or marketplace listing issues proactively — we want someone who notices things, not just executes tasks.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills — comfortable with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables, filters, conditional formatting, and large datasets (10,000+ rows).
- 1–3 years of administrative, operations, or data-entry experience, ideally in an e-commerce, retail, or import/distribution environment.
- Bilingual: professional working proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).
- Detail-obsessed — you catch typos, mismatched units, and broken formulas before anyone else does.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without being micromanaged.
- Comfortable learning new software quickly: Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, Wayfair Partner Home, Walmart Seller Center, and internal dashboards.
- Clear, concise written communication — you can email a vendor, a buyer, or a marketplace support rep and sound professional.
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, Wayfair, or Walmart Marketplace.
- Familiarity with product catalog management, flat files, or feed/listing tools.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce KPIs (conversion rate, sell-through, returns, lead time).
- Experience with QuickBooks, accounting workflows, or invoice tracking.
- Photography, image editing (Photoshop / Canva), or basic copywriting skills.
- Claude code experience
Pay: $16.45-$30.65 per hour
