Course Description:
All businesses operate within a legal environment. LAW 2276 provides an introduction to common legal issues faced by businesses and is designed to familiarize students with both foundational legal concepts and specific laws that regulate and affect business activity. Topics include ethical constraints on business, as well as basic principles of contract and tort law. The course emphasizes that a working understanding of law is an important component of business strategy, and not merely a matter of compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants should possess a graduate degree or higher, a JD, or another closely related professional qualification, together with significant relevant professional experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary teaching experience.
