Overview:

O’Rourke Family Estate (OFE) is a 300-acre property with panoramic views of surrounding orchards, vineyards, rolling mountains and the glistening water of Okanagan Lake. Inspired by Europe’s most famous wineries, the property features 110 acres of vines, 300 metres of winding tunnels and 12,000 square-feet of cave space to store and age wines. Peak Cellars is located on a 7-acre property down the road from OFE, and is home to our Goldie Road Vineyard. Wine isn’t the only thing the property produces; the half-acre organic vegetable garden and two greenhouses supply the highest quality fruits and vegetables for the Garden Bistro. We are looking for aAccounts Payable Administratorto join our incredible team of wine and food lovers.

Location:

Lake Country, BC. Please note: there is no direct access to public transportation. This is an on-site position.

Role type:Full-time, permanent

Reports into:Controller

Responsibilities:

Accurate and timely entry of vendor invoices into accounting software.

Review and reconciliation of vendor statements.

Process cheque runs and EFT payments.

Verify WCB Clearance Letters.

Reconcile corporate credit cards.

Support to the accounting team as required.

Enter and reconcile payments, and apply payments to invoices.

Enter payroll time cards into online system for approval and processing.

The ideal candidate has:

A diploma or degree in a relevant field.

A minimum of two (2) years of full-cycle accounts receivable/bookkeeping/accounting experience.

High proficiency with Excel.

Experience with job costing.

Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.

Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude.

Must have high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.

Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the company.

Extremely reliable, mature and professional.

Highly resourceful, intuitive and flexible.

Proven organizational and time management skills.

Industry experience an asset.

Employee Benefits:

Compensation: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour
