Position Summary
We are seeking a Accounting Manager to lead general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting for our Canada entity.
This role will also focus on improving accounting processes and systems to support scalable operations and strong financial control.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Coordinate with global finance team for consolidation and reporting
General Ledger & Daily Accounting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Maintain integrity of financial data and reporting
Process Improvement & System Enhancement
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows
- Drive system optimization and automation initiatives
- Support ERP implementation or upgrades if applicable
Internal Control & Compliance
- Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting
- Support audits and regulatory compliance requirements
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks
Cross-functional Partnership
- Partner with operations, AP, and other teams to ensure smooth financial processes
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- 5–10+ years of accounting experience
- Strong experience in month-end close and GL accounting
- Experience in process improvement and system implementation
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Bilingual in Chinese and English
