Academic English & Grade 8 Science Tutor (In-Person) Jobs in Vancouver at Risings Educational Consulting
We are seeking a reliable and engaging tutor to provide in-person academic support for a Grade 8 student in Vancouver, BC. The tutor will support learning in Academic English and Grade 8 Science through structured lessons, homework assistance, and exam preparation.
This is a part-time, in-person tutoring opportunity for someone who can create a positive and supportive learning environment while helping the student build confidence and improve academic performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in Academic English and Grade 8 Science
- Help the student improve reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and science concepts
- Assist with homework, assignments, quizzes, and test preparation
- Develop lesson plans and learning strategies based on the student’s needs
- Track student progress and communicate updates to parent/guardian
- Maintain a professional and punctual schedule
Qualifications
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or academic support experience preferred
- Strong understanding of middle school English and Science curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, organized, and dependable
- Ability to conduct lessons in person in Vancouver, BC
