Our client is seeking a 4th Class Power Engineer to join their
dynamic
team. As a 4th Class Power Engineer, you will play a vital role in the operation and maintenance of the facility’s power systems.

Hours:
The rate of pay will be $35-$45 / hour (negotiable with experience) Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Position Summary:
Monitoring and operating equipment such as boilers, generators, turbines, pumps, and compressors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Conducting routine inspections, tests, and maintenance procedures to uphold safety standards and
regulatory compliance
. Responding promptly to equipment alarms and taking appropriate actions to address any issues or malfunctions. Recording and maintaining accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to
equipment operation
, maintenance, and incidents.
Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions. Participating in training programs and staying updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and
safety protocols
. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and protocols to promote a safe and productive
work environment
. Supporting
continuous improvement
initiatives and contributing ideas for enhancing operational efficiency and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
MUST have a valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate in Alberta. Previous experience in operating and maintaining power generation equipment preferred. Strong technical aptitude and
problem-solving skills
. Excellent
attention to detail
and the ability to follow
safety protocols
and procedures. Effective
communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a
team environment
. Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and climbing.
