Eke Me-Xi Learning Centre, Port Hardy, BC
0.14 FTE Continuing – Outdoor Education 8-12
Commencing: September 1, 2026
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- completion of a Bachelor of Education;
- certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification Branch;
- academic training, qualifications and recent successful experience teaching secondary Outdoor Education;
- strong classroom management skills;
- the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;
- the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching and learning; and
- a desire to work in a flexible alternative learning environment; and
- ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
